Le Temps est Venu Côtes du Rhône Grenache 2022

A very happy find, this grenache/syrah blend. It's heavy on the cassis, licorice, and stone. Some blood orange on the bitter-ish finish. But, not unpleasant in any way. I agree with Scott's note: This wine does go down softer than most CDR's. @Scott@Mister A’s-San Diego

@Dave, I’m not sure what I’m being accused of, but I’d hope I’m not on the short list of this week’s crucifixions??? 👀

Mon Village Côte-Rôtie Syrah 2016

Calm and reserved for a 9yo Cote Rotie. Integrated well. Lacks some of the classic aromas of prototypical examples. Subtle meat and sweet pickle/caper. — 2 months ago

Saint-Joseph Le Passage Syrah 2018

Saturated and fairly rich, but not out of balance. Needs a hearty braise or something wintery. — 2 years ago

Viognier de Rosine 2015

Apricot, tropical juice, fairly light and elegant. I'd have preferred more minerality, this might have been lost with age — 5 years ago

Réserve Côte-Rôtie Syrah - Viognier Blend 2050

Second of two bottles. First was a bit muted, second bottle had a more fragrant nose and deeper palate. — 3 months ago

@Ericsson Oh what I’d give to rifle through 4-6 decent wines with 4-6 decent palates in the space of 3-4 hours…been too long. Happy you made it in. Hope you enjoyed. Had to bounce unfortunately before potentially compromising your palate with some skanky/tawdry reds. Next time. Best wishes always.
