Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2021 Pagani Ranch pours a deep ruby color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart black and red fruits: mixed bramble fruit, black cherry, black pepper, red flowers, tobacco, warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Yum. — 9 days ago
Needed to fill out a half case and this looked intriguing. Quite tasty. Interesting blend - palomino, muscadelle, and then a bit of semillon, chenin blanc, and burger (?). Balanced and textured. Gentle on the palate, but with a nice full finish. — 6 months ago
Needs the full hour to pop. Cherry blossom, cranberry, citrus zest secondary. Very delicate, round mouthfeel. Powdery tannins. Medium acid, medium plus body. — 3 years ago

Requires some air but utterly delicious. So different than the ridge ‘pagani ranch’ but equally as insightful with regards to that terroir. Lush, complex and truly ‘American’. Bravo! — 3 years ago
Actually the “Norma’s Block” bottling - apparently made from a small parcel within Pagini Ranch still owned by a grandmother. Delicious. Dense and fruit forward, with excellent acid keeping things balanced throughout. Quite enjoyable. — 4 months ago
@Tom Casagrande@Jay Kline quite agreed! I think I purchased this on-site in Lytton Springs and the chaps there had a lot of fun quizzing me on old field varietals that I didn’t know :)
Overpriced exotic white blend from Sonoma: you get a bunch of that Malvasia nose, very floral, fennel, herbs, citrus-y, silky on palate, nicely integrated acidity - more austere on palate, lean/angular, herbaceous green edged, but w/decent power — 3 years ago
