Bigger, bolder, richer, still dry but more flavorful Plavac Mali variety. Better if allowed to breathe for a bit, pairs well with cheese and red meat. — 8 months ago
Delicious natty Croatian red — 3 months ago
100% Plavac Mali, Croatia’s most popular red grape variety and also, recently discovered, an offspring of Zindandel, from vineyards on the Pelješac peninsula on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast. Aged for 6 months in French oak barrels (and another 4 years in bottle in this case). Notes of strawberry and smoke. A hint of cherry cola that I’ve noticed in some Zinfandels. I thought it would be a fruit bomb, but after some airing it was totally balanced. Earthy, savory, pleasant to drink — 7 months ago
Tried at Proto restaurant in Dubrovnik. Was the server’s suggestion. Delicious. Similar to Savignon Blanc. — 2 years ago
Xmas wine 2023

This is a Croatian wine (not a German Riesling - the Delectable app has this listed incorrectly). Nice dry wine, full bodied, nice as both an aperitif and with shellfish and grilled fish. — 8 months ago

Still so expressive and bright, but earlier red fruits now predominantly balsamic, prune and port. — 2 months ago
