Bianco dei Neri - brilliant gold coloration
70% Sauvignon blanc and 30% grecheto.
On the nose, florals, melon. Peach, and citrus. On the palate, full body, rich, minerals, nectarine, florals, melons, and nicely balanced acidity. — 5 months ago
Revisiting this once bringing a few bottles home from the winery. Pale straw coloration. On the nose, ripe peach, some pear and apple. On the palate, strong notes of peach and a very long finish minerality. Medium to fuller bodied with nice acidity. I thought Cantine Neri’s Orvieto Classico was fantastic but this white wine outdoes it in my opinion with its just a wonderful balance of acidity, robust body, minerality and fruit. — 4 months ago
Revisiting at home after buying several bottles of Cantine Neri. Light gold coloration. On the nose, apple, pear and citrus. Some minerals. On the palate, peach, lemon, and a long finish of strong minerality balanced with citrus. Medium to fuller bodied white with strong acidity. Fantastic white. — 4 months ago
Revisiting this wine at home after tasting at the winery. Ruby coloration with some transparency. On the nose, cherry, red berries, currants, some earthiness and minerals. On the palate, medium, lighter body, cherry, red berry, cola, earthiness, minerality/graphite and strong and long finish of minerality and graphite. Good tannins present. A very different and surprising red. I didn’t expect to like it but it is a refreshing and very drinkable red on this hot summer day in Florida. — 4 months ago
The 2019 Emilio Bulfon Piculit Neri has aged beautifully in five years.
Initial fruity scents blend smoothly with hints of dried fruits, leather, and a touch of smoky undertones and with a peppery & vanilla taste.
Makes an ideal companion for dishes like game meats, aged cheeses, or hearty red meat meals that are common in the Friuli region.
A must-try if you like medium-bodied reds and have the opportunity to find it. — 4 months ago
