Tasted blind. Reddish amber tawny, translucent. Corky nose. Notes of light red fruit, cherry, herbs. Ethereal in it's delivery and still chewy. Very refined. The light cork taint makes it difficult to guess and the team's guesses are all over the planet (I'm in Bordeaux land). There is some good stuff inside this but cork taint comes on more with air... bummer. (M's 60th bday 3rd of 14) — 5 years ago
Fruit forward with some earth and spice. Very light. It grew on me. — a month ago
Disg. 2/14 (07 base)…Always my favorite of the Lieux-Dits and without question one of the very best Blanc de Blancs Champagnes on the planet, it’s particularly special to have with some bottle age. It’s absolutely as stunning as hoped—rich and powerful with crazy depth to its layers with a deep, complex core of caramelized orchard fruit, roasted nuts, old rum barrels and candied white flowers, all with seamless integration. The palate is generous and detailed, with racy acids, waves of saline laced, chalky Le Mesnil minerals and a finish that just stays with you. A BdB benchmark, legendary bubbles. — 5 months ago
Pro ratings are on the mark here. Refreshing #grunerveltliner from #weinviertel. Lovely wet chalk, faint chives and vegetal notes, crisp acidity, touch of spritz when you first open the bottle and some citrus and white pepper on the finish. Here is your green salad slayer pairing wine. — 5 years ago
Fruity and well balanced. — 6 months ago
Balanced, fruity — 4 years ago
It is dark purple in color. There are black fruit aromas in the nose, high tannin, rich, cherry, plum, blackberry aromas on the palate. There are vanilla, cedar and pro aromas coming from the barrel.
It is suitable for aging.
It goes well with steak, lamb and meat. — 5 years ago

Very fresh, clean, the softest mousse on the planet. Beautiful citrus, most delicate of minerals, gentle spice, grand acidity, focused precision and balance for days. Excellent. Just overly expensive. — 6 days ago
