Pretty classic for the most part. Nose has equal parts apple fruit (with a hint of underripe peach), chicken broth, wet limestoney sea shells, and a light toasty note. Good flavor intensity in the mouth, bone dry, vague whiff of oak, bright minerality driving the flavors. I would ideally like the acids to be higher, but we fucked up the planet so much that’s asking too much. Still very good! — 2 years ago

It is dark purple in color. There are black fruit aromas in the nose, high tannin, rich, cherry, plum, blackberry aromas on the palate. There are vanilla, cedar and pro aromas coming from the barrel.
It is suitable for aging.

Premier Cru, but really Grand Cru, Malco, one of my favorite wines on the planet is just rocking tonight, pnp perfection wafting an unmistakable Dujac nose with layers of violets, cocoa beans, fresh red berry fruit and whole brunch stemmy spice. The palate is pure silk with a mastery in balance of richness, purity and delivery of fruit, texture and acids with a finish that just keeps on going. Amazing wine. — 10 months ago

Tasted blind. Reddish amber tawny, translucent. Corky nose. Notes of light red fruit, cherry, herbs. Ethereal in it's delivery and still chewy. Very refined. The light cork taint makes it difficult to guess and the team's guesses are all over the planet (I'm in Bordeaux land). (Disgorged 1/19)- Always my favorite of the Lieux-Dits and without question one of the very best Blanc de Blancs Champagnes on the planet, it’s stunning tonight, rich, powerful and intense with crazy depth to its layers, unfurling in a Burgundy glass to reveal its complex core of rich orchard fruit, roasted nuts, gun smoke, old rum barrels and candied white flowers, all with seamless integration and balance. The palate is generous and detailed, with racy acids, waves of saline laced chalky Le Mesnil minerals and a finish that just keeps going. For me, the BdB benchmark. — 8 months ago
