This is the volnay.

Nose: ephemeral pink roses and lilacs. So pretty. Audrey Hepburn. Beautiful as it opens hints of savory.

Palate: sweet early drain cherry fruit. Hint of bitterness - cherry pit Silk beyond silk as a texture.

Not super dense. More old school volnay.

Best Aalto ever tasted. Prototype Ribera nose. Dark cherry, blackcurrant and plum. Smokiness. Nice light spicy tones and long aftertaste. Great balance between acidity and sweetness/alcohol. Very well integrated tannins. Optimum in drinking window according to me! — 4 months ago

We had the 2014 Vintage on 8/3-4/25. Really good cab. A Napa Floor prototype: blackberry, plum, vanilla, mocha and cassis. Full bodied, well balanced, fruit forward. Nice mouthfeel with a long finish. Very good. — 10 months ago
