Slight pepper, nice balance, some acidity — 2 years ago
Fine for it’s category. More rounded than I expected given brut nature — 3 years ago

Wal-Mart’s house champagne brand…I figured for $25, why not?
Nose: buttered white crusty toast, nuts, honey, beeswax, yellow apple, very ripe tropical fruit, some kind of mushroom or something fermenting? Shellfish! Mixed feelings here … complex for sure, but a little weird…
Taste: good! Definitely solid French bubbly -texture OK, fruitier than I expected - tangerine, green apple, nice bracing acidity, bitter nuts. A little (sour) cream. 91-92! Definitely a solid alternative to the good $18-22 cremants if you’d rather spend $25 and get real champagne. From Wal-Mart! EDIT: wife agrees with score! Her instinct was 92. — 3 years ago

So much tart apple, I thought it was schramsberg! A little toasted almond and brioche in there as well. Super enjoyable! — 10 days ago
