A winner from @ Garagiste’s case of rosés. Grenache/Cinsault/Rolle/Syrah.
With WINE!!!! On the back label in French and English.
Lovely subdued fruit, a bit of a powdery, talc quality many Provençal rosés carry.
Watermelon, Rainer Cherries, rosehips, nice balance of acidity.
With crab cakes on a muggy day and a lack of beer, perfect — a year ago
It’s 1/2 bottle n/v Billecart evening.
This is a more appropriate color of rose for the Rosé color of this champagne.
My go to n/v Rosé Champange for a number of reasons…quality & 1/2 bottle availability are right up there.
Blood orange, black cherries, Rainer cherries, lean strawberries, pomegranate juice, hints of raw rhubarb, grainy, grippy, sharp chalkiness, crunchy volcanics, limestone, sea fossils, baguette crust, deep white spice, orange lilies, peach roses, excellent, lively acidity with a rich, well balanced smart finish that starts clean, ripe fruits falling onto perfect minerality. — 3 years ago
In the zone. This is drinking so well. Nose is divine. Elegant liquid minerals, white cherries and also rainer cherries and a dollop of apricot. Palate is juicy and mineral with almost no fruit and a slathering of minerals that just assault your palate. Just a wonderful wine. Nose develops a hint of orange zest now with air. Not elegant and not that long but what it lacks in charm and length it makes up for in intensity and flavor authority. — a year ago
Beautiful. — 3 years ago
Wow! Just wow! Brick colored Pinot wine looked toast but smelled amazing, full of cherries like Rainer and subtle tones of bees wax. Beautiful fruit soft and aged and mature for sure but damn! This is burgundy — a year ago
It’s Trockenbeerenauslese, you say? Yes, I said that. This nectar is of magic! Candied peaches, tangy homemade orange marmalade, velvety ripe apricots and warm honey combine and dance across the pallet as you sip this amazing Austrian dessert wine. It’s truly beautiful. — 3 years ago
Can’t put this one down.... beautiful nose of dried rose pedal, dusty rainer cherry, coco bean. Earthy. Juicy blackcherry fruit bounds on the palate accented by espresso and cedar box. Cranberry too. Outstanding length with soft, persistent tannins. Great now, only better with cellar age. — 4 years ago
