This wine shows that Texas is now producing fine and complex wine. The grape is Tannat used a lot in wines from Uruguay and Chile. Full bodied and beautiful crisp red velvet color. Pleasant to the nose and palate. Best when it breathes. Texas wine makers are increasingly conscious about terroir and planting grapes that fit it. Nice and well structured that complements a rib eye grilled quite nicely. — 4 years ago
Super pleasant. Fuji Apple cider with just enough acidity. — 6 years ago
Champagne is for celebrating, not that I need a celebratory reason to open a bottle as I am hooked on champagne. 💉
However, after installing 27 solar panels and waiting an additional seven weeks for my Tesla, I/we have almost erased our carbon footprint. Finally picked it up today. I believe we all need to do our part to save the glorious vines that bring so much happiness to our lives. 🍷🥂👍
As for the Baron Fuentes, the is a very good Champange and is perhaps the best QPR out of Champagne at $24.99.
Bright lemon, lime, grapefruit w/ sugar, bruised red apple & pear, touch of ginger & cider, bread dough, baguette crust, sea spray, white spice with some palate heat, sea fossils, grey volcanic minerals, spring flowers, lilacs and yellow lilies. The acidity is bright, crisp and lively. The finish is smartly polished, well balanced and persistent for minutes.
Whoo hoo! So close to carbon free! 🍾🥂 — 7 years ago

Here we have the Benoit Lahaye ‘Blanc de Noirs’ – a non-vintage white bubbly made with 100% Pinot Noir, representing a blend of two parcels in Bouzy (Vaux-Bétins & Raies Tortues), each contributing a unique personality to the cuvée.
Harking back to more traditional winemaking methods, it was barrel-fermented naturally & bottled without filtration.
It has a pale gold hue w/ expressive aromas & flavors of baked red apple, cider, raspberry, fruit cake, lemon curd, cherry blossom, toast, clove, cinnamon, pastry, almond paste, and nougat next to chiseled mineral & wet stone notes.
With an ‘extra brut’ dosage (5g of sugar/L), this wine is bone dry, with a fine-beaded, creamy mousse, that is nicely balanced by a racy acidity. It has a kinetic energy & persistent finish. It’s absolutely delicious.
Who ever said you can’t sip bubbles on a Monday night?
I believe every day is worth celebrating in one form or another. Plus, this counts as studying for our WSG Champagne Masters class. Also, it’s Eiffel Tower Day!!

Amazing flavor and so complex! Kiwi, funk, apples, citrus, earth, herbs. This is my second vintage of trying this wine and I have to say both were stunning. This is the cider for natural wine lovers. — 6 years ago
Fantastic. — 7 years ago
This is a lovely funky, dry cider. Huge apple aroma that does not disappoint on the pallet. I would definitely say this is new world funk compared to Spanish and French cider, but it is damn good. — 7 years ago
