Ripe fruits, medium+ body, just lovely. β 4 months ago
Oak and berries on the nose. Raspberry, cherry, cinnamon / pepper on the palette. Very dry and full of tannin. Would pair well with creamy / cheesy pasta. β a month ago
100% Nerello Mascalese. Light garnet (see through) color. Intensely smoky at first sniff that quickly blows off. Additional aromas of red berries, dried rose petals and orange zest. Flavors of strawberry, raspberry, baking spices, fresh herbs and ginger. Noticeable mineral note on the long finish. Crisp acidity, low tannins and medium-minus body. Round and juicy. β 2 months ago
Opened and decanted two hours prior to service; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 1997 βVigneto Brich Ronchiβ pours a deep, hazy garnet color with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears and some signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of ripe and desiccated black and red fruits: Blackberry, Morello cherry, bruised strawberry, dried roses, tar, leather, potting soil, and subtle warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. The finish is long and savory. This is in a lovely spot. Drink now through 2027. β 2 months ago
Mineral lean. Almost thin. But delicious concrete and flint. Last year for this vintage I think β 4 months ago
