Buri means Buttrio which is the name of the little town in the surrounding of the vineyard.

Colli Orientali del Friuli Ronco Basso Chardonnay 2020
Popped and poured. The 2020 Chardonnay “Ronco Basso” is quite compelling. I found that the fruit presented more round on the nose than it is on the palate, which showed a bright mix of tropical and citrus fruits with really lovely acid and fantastic minerality. The finish was long and full of energy. One of the more exciting Chardonnays I’ve had in a while. Drink now but will drink well for at least 10 years. — 2 years ago

Bellissimo! Love aged Friuli whites - gorgeous light golden color, fresh cut flowers, jasmine, lemon balm, citrus but sweet not tart, silky smooth mid palate, more exotic fruit as it warms, steely minerality- not fat but kinda full-figured, just a beautiful cut, all the acidic angularity softened w/age thru lingering finish. — 10 months ago

Vigna Ronco Al Maso Ghemme Nebbiolo 2017
Ghemme is my sentimental favorite of the Novarese DOCs. I had a really good one when I was in my last year of college and starting my wine journey. It generally is one of the heavier and, sometimes, earthier of the group. This one is very good. Still youthful, it takes time to open up, but slowly reveals dark cherry, mahogany furniture, crushed minerally gravel, and roasted meat scents. Medium full, it’s got concentrated and tight dark cherry fruit, very fine-grained but abundantly chalky tannins, and very nice acidity. No rush to drink this. Enjoy over the next 4-5 years, maybe longer. — 2 years ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of several days and consistent throughout. The 2022 Sauvignon pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing and bursting with electricity! Powerful notes of stone fruits, grapefruit, fresh sliced jalapeño, verbena, and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acidity. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+, substantial and refreshing. Lovely with northern Italian soft rind cheese. Sol Sauvignon 2020
2022/6/8-10 with scallop crudo, homemade fresh tagliolini al Portonat, frico, etc. A nice mix of more “typical”, bright Sauvignon Blanc citrus and herbs with richer, stone fruit notes. Strong minerality, sneaky richness and plenty of acidity ensure a strong structure, and subtle depth keeps one coming back. — 3 years ago

From the Bellaria vineyard known to have really old Friulano and Merlot vines; some over 100 years old and own rooted. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2022 “Buri Bellaria” Friulano pours a straw color with medium+ viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe orchard fruit: peach cup, grapefruit, Meyer lemon, tarragon, and gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long, and savory with lovely minerals. Alcohol is high but balanced. A beautiful, refined Friulano with loads of character.
