Giovanni Allegrini was the founder of the new generation and revolutionized changes to accepted practices. A blend of Corvina Veronese 45%, Corvinone 45%, Rondinella 5% & Oseleta 5%, deep Ruby with aromas of dried dark fruits, spice and herb, about 120 days of appassimento. Palate shows ripe cherry & raspberry flavors with fig, cacao, flint and mineral tones. Soft smooth tannins well balanced with acidity on a long spicy finish. Will continued to get better with age. Yummy, especially well-paired with my roasted duck. — 2 months ago
Ondanks dat het een wijn met body is, voelt het heel licht. Niet dat tannine gevoel in mond en lippen, maar wel een diepe, volle smaak. — 7 months ago
Very nice, slightly dry but smooth. Great with meatloaf. — a year ago
Not the amarone I’ve been searching for but I’d get this again — 3 months ago

Very light colored. Candy- like in some ways. Lots a pepper- spice. Had this with a shallot- pancetta-Parmesan risotto- only with farro rather than spice. Very nice- not overpowering at all. I’ve found this winery’s wines excellent. — 7 days ago
