Mmm, delicious. Altesse is likely my favorite Savoie white. While I live how Jacquere can almost have this ethereal quality to it, very pure mountain air kind of feel, Altesse brings this weight and depth which is really intriguing. This 2016 is just starting to show a little oxidation, but in a gracefully aged sort of way. Apple skin, delicate white flowers, slight brioche, lemon zest and loads of minerality on the finish. Delightful. — 5 years ago
Toasty biscuit, tart apricot, lime zest in the bouquet. Stone fruit, cave minerals, lemon curd, hints of golden apple on the palate. Zesty bubbly that’s well balanced... Happy New Year!! — 7 years ago
100% Roussanne.
Nose...If I ever had a white that I could tell you was "oily" this is that wine. Caramelized honey, pear, guava and wet clay.
Palate is hazelnut butter, macerated pear, over-ripe apricot. F...this is an amazing bottle, I don't happen across Roussanne like this everyday, or like ever! — 8 years ago
