Nose - forest floor, wood, tobacco, moss. Main flavors - stewed plum and light baking spices. A bit of tannic structure but overall smooth and earthy. Like no Pinot noir I’ve ever had. Tremendous! Cannot go wrong with 2018 vintage on most central Tuscan wines and this isn’t an exception. A nice, inexpensive, appealing and approachable Sangiovese driven with a gentle tannins, bright orange acidity, juicy cranberry, ripe red cherries and spice and subtle touch of oak. Medium light ruby , quite wide garnet ruby rim . Touch of pot pouri , with some spiced cherry , wild strawberry and raspberry . Sweet red cherry notes on the palate , some light herbal notes and a saline streak . Touch of black pepper and perhaps a hint of warmth . Ok length and balance . Not as fresh as some of the others.
