Godello fringant et salivant avec final sur jolis amers — 5 months ago
Dense ruby dress. Candied, roasted, spicy nose. In the mouth it is thick, with a soft touch. Notes of candied fruits, dried raisins, prune, cocoa, vanilla, caramel, licorice, mocha, flowers and perfumes.. great aromatic intensity. Do you like modern wines on purity and not very interventionist? It's pretty much the opposite! Can be associated with cheeses of character, as well as desserts. Last but not least, it is a wine that is self-sufficient and appreciates itself very well.
Robe rubis dense. — 2 years ago
NV, but back label had the date 04/04/08 and it’s a beautiful bottle of champagne. Yellow color hints at the intense yellow fruit—mellow, yellow peach and nectarine, gentle but persistent, layered soft delicious fruit. Really a delicious bottle that rewarded cellaring, as do many NVs. — 3 years ago
Truly excellent Albariño. Well balanced fruit and herb. Touch of sweet, but not at all overpowering. Would absolutely do again. — 10 months ago
I really don’t do a top ten wines of year thing but if I did, we have a clear winner. Deep and oh so sexy. Pale gold with few bubbles but a lovely nose. Roasted hazelnuts and slivered almonds. White floral accents along with pure chalk and oyster shells. Plenty of citrus goodness and green apples. It just keeps going and going.
This champagne soars and it takes you along for the ride. Pure Chardonnay from Mesnil and pure is the word of the day. Purity of fruit and terroir. It’s a thrilling pour, one that demands your full attention. Vibrant and exceedingly expressive at this stage and it has miles and miles to go. Uber refined, this is just such a pleasure.
Explosive joy in the mouth. So much salinity and minerality. With age, it’s become rich and complex. It’s very Chablis like in parts. An initial burst of citrus in the mouth followed by smoke and chalk. More nuts and apples and just plain gloriousness. Long finish and yes you will absolutely want more. An excellent wine. A v sexy wine. Make sure to drink it with the right company. — 2 years ago
Another delicious and super approachable 100% mourvedre from Ryan Pease of Paix sur Terre. For those who don’t know, Ryan has a friend who does all of the original artwork for these labels. Great operation there - do yourself a favor and check them out! — 4 years ago

Ah, "Terras Gauda Rías Baixas Albariño'-a veritable jewel from the spectacular landscapes of Spain's Galicia, specifically the picturesque Rías Baixas DO, where the Atlantic whispers sweet nothings to the vines. This splendid Albariño unveils a bouquet of zesty lemon, fragrant white flowers, and a hint of sea breeze, tantalising the senses like a playful flirtation. The producer, Bodegas Terras Gauda, founded by the illustrious Ramón V. de Garay, is famed for its commitment to sustainable practices. Fun fact: they pioneered the use of genetic research in their vineyards-a cleverer endeavor than my attempts at crossword puzzles! Albariño, that beguiling grape, is renowned for its bright acidity and versatility; a wonderful partner in crime for seafood, particularly oysters, as the minerality complements their briny sweetness. It also loves the spicy embrace of Asian cuisine, where its zesty notes dance playfully. This delightful nectar has garnered praise, earning a commendable 90 points from Wine Enthusiast. Truly, it's one to uncap whilst contemplating life or... other intimate matters far too risqué for polite company! — 3 months ago
