This wine smells delicious - a bright cherry overlay with raspberry and coffee notes, plus a generous supply of earthiness. The palate holds plenty of red fruit with mocha, tea and a hint of vanilla in the flavor profile. The tannins are gentle and the sip is quite smooth. This is a lovely example of Oregon Pinot, one that bridges the gap between California and Burgundy very well. — 2 years ago
Bridges the gap between Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and Barberra. Dry but not dull. The 2010 was perfect in 2020. Not overly fruity. — 4 years ago

The 2019 Langhe Nebbiolo JC bridges the gap between Red and Rosé. A touch of whole clusters adds sweet and savory herbs to crushed raspberry and strawberry fruits. The finish is long and lightly structured, displaying a lasting and unmistakable note of red licorice with hints of spiced orange. $22.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, July 2020) — 4 years ago
Pineapple and oak predominate with sliced apples and pears. Balanced with a nice elegant feel that bridges the profiles of California and France — a year ago
Fantastic effort from a somewhat difficult vintage… bridges the style gap for most in our tasting crew (modern vs traditional). Needs 2+ hours of air or 4+ years in bottle, but everyone loved this one. 2nd bottle tasted from this vintage, both terrific. — 2 years ago
This Duriff (Petite Syrah) is actually produced in the Barossa Valley of Australia. Calabria is the name of family who founded the winery. A powerful and dense wine that is somewhat soft and subtle at the same time. Big aromas and flavors of blackberry, bakers chocolate and vanilla oak. Beautiful structure and depth. Firm grained tannins with a long warming finish. Solid. — 4 years ago
