Soooooo good — 4 years ago
[8 hour decant] Impenetrable, super opaque dark purple color, seriously, color is SO DARK it looks like 5W-30 motor oil after 10-15 thousand miles, lovely raisin aromas and flavors, tending a little dry as Dow’s VP does, super long, lingering finish, if any Vintage Porto could easily go 100+ years, this might be it!! Seriously, the color alone suggests a VERY YOUNG barrel sample, AMAZING!! — 5 months ago
Nice bottle of wine. Smooth. No after bite. — 3 years ago
We did a ‘14, ‘15, ‘16, ‘17 vertical tasting - highly recommend this as you get to watch the wines open up over time.
‘14 was by far and away the best, but still worth sitting on. Then, in order we liked ‘16, 17, and ‘15. The 2015 seems like it’s not going to make it as far as the others, a bit flabbier. ‘16 and ‘17 have long lives ahead of them - excited for that!
All were drinking pretty though and have varying levels of similar profiles: vanilla, cocoa, espresso, cedar, and earth tones. Hard to say no to any of them. — 4 years ago
Great wine for a hot summer day. Very sweet but not overly “graped”. — 9 months ago
After Bouland's Delys I had an immediate urge for Foillard's Côte du Py. Don't judge me...
Showing this to my best pal who lives in Dijon and who literally bathes in Burg. Pinot Noir. I think he likes it too😍.
Cola, cherry, hay, raspberry... Wow this nose doing its trick again. Massive acid backbone, radiant cherry all along with a bit of a Cola note, a bit of tannins in the rear, very gentle, and a super duper long fruity finish that goes on for a long long time. Who can seriously say they don't like it? — 2 years ago
Somewhat lives up to the hype, but one day I'll try the others. Very smooth, bursting with oakey vanilla, burnt caramel, and honey. — 4 years ago

Cork fell apart but the wine lives! Bought after Tiva’s baby shower, drank with Mr. Eckstein and Dad, the wine is a DEEP dark red, pale brick color to the edges, which needed about an hour or 2 to open up. The nose slowly emerged with ripe red fruits, crunchy ripe plums and cherries, with hints of soil and a little balsamic so far. Full bodied but not HUGE in alcohol, with a loooong palate with great pepper notes, ripe dark fruits, rasberry coulee, dark chocolate and long finish, softened fruits but still good acidity, with tannins just starting to emerge towards the finish and hints of briar and green peppercorn, with slight menthol freshness. This is at its prime right now! — 2 months ago
