Medium ruby centre , quite wide light pink ruby rim . Quite expressive nose with blackcurrant , iris , roasted red peppers and earthy tobacco notes . On the palate quite rounded and juicy, medium bodied , with those blackcurrant , blackberry and earthy , dark chocolate notes coming through , quite fresh acidity, fine but very slightly bitter tannins and balanced alcohol. Medium minus length with tobacco tinged finish . Drink now and over the next 5-7 years to preserve as much of fresh fruit character as possible . — 7 months ago

What a treat ! Beautiful structure, even at 20 years old. Still a yellow lemon color, not at all showing its age. Tiny and vibrant bubbles. Black currant here with maybe a powderier and softer structure than I remember in other vintages. That said, this is such a great wine year after year. If you enjoy it, try getting your hands on their Vulture which is 100% Cab Franc for a similar expression without the merlot to mellow it. — 4 years ago
