Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2021 pours a bright garnet color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with fabulous notes of wild raspberries, Morello cherry, freshly cut roses, cedar chest, orange zest, alpine herbs and rocky earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. This is really beautiful stuff. The nose alone positively slays. Drink now through 2041. Thanks for the assist @Lyle Fass — 2 months ago

Great wine found at a pizzeria in Taormina. Learning to stick with Etna wines in Sicily as you can’t go wrong! Starts off great and opens up to be awesome!! Would love to take some home. — 7 years ago
I think this one’s great. Rich in the nose, voluptuous, tropical fruit, bakery, a hint of butter. Ample bodied and Atlantic acid. Love it! — 5 days ago

The 2020 Gattinara is elegant and lifted. Crushed red berry fruit, cinnamon and orange peel grace this ethereal, nuanced Gattinara. Bright saline notes and sweet red-toned fruit build into the long, persistent finish. Understated and silky, the 2020 is exquisite. All this needs is a few years to soften. Slightly chill before drinking. Floral, blackberry and spice. Some tannin. Medium bodied. Acid. Good summer red option or lunch/brunch. Paired well with aged cheeses, blackberries. Winner of tonight’s tasting. — 4 months ago
Incredible bouquet but took a long time to open up and for the mineral and acid to mellow. Smooth and gentle when it finally did. Would only go for cellared bottles. — 6 months ago
100% Treixadura grown in granite soils, fermented in stainless. Medium lemon color with aromas of ripe stone fruits and blossom notes. On the palate, crisp, with flavors of peach and apricot, some honeysuckle and citrus. Medium finish ending with crisp mineral character. Nice! — 7 years ago
This wine is from Portugal the Dão region and not from Spain in Galicia. Please have this corrected in the app classification. — 8 years ago
