Tonight I have opened the 2018 Château Montrose La Dame de Montrose. This wine is from the left bank of Bordeaux, St.Estephe. A blend of 52% Merlot, 39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc.
The nose hase very expressive notes of black cherry, blackberry, blueberry, blaxk currant, herbaceous notes, violets, chocolate and mint.
The palates gives us notes of black cherry, blackberry, black currant, bell pepper, graphite and underbrush.
This wine is medium to full bodied with a silky, velvety mouthfeel and beautifully balanced, medium+ acidity and medium+ polished tannins that move seamlessly into a long dark fruit spicy finish. Well, Happy Birthday to me. This is the wine I chose to have even though it was four days after my birth date. I wish everyone a healthy and safe weekend. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 3 years ago

Crisp, bright, refreshing. Perfect on a warm day before a meal. — 7 months ago
A bit of wax, a white flower note, some yellow fruits notes too. Quite inviting. The palate shows a massive acid backbone which gives a strong drive. There is a little thickness on the sides which could come from a little residual sugar. There is indeed a sweet note. Very long finish with yellow fruits and a tangy note which makes it very easy going and calls for another glass. This is great! — 4 years ago
