Undersung meunier, done by one of B-W’s greats. Slightly more rustic expression of pinot, age has rounded off the harder edges. Dark berry fruit, bit of forest-y stalk character to give it backbone. Not complex but resolved. Wonderful midweek drink. — 2 years ago
Very nice expression of a Pinot from south western Germany - from my high school home town. Starting to show its age with some bricking at the rim. Elegant nose with robust herbal and leathery undertones. Still fresh on the palate, well balanced acidity and subtle tannins. — 4 years ago
Evolving nicely. It still offera some of the blue/piney resin that I loved when it was young. Well balanced. — 5 years ago
Awfully good. Structure and flavor profile very Morey but different minerality. Still young, easily another decade ahead. — 4 years ago
The spice and acidity paired with pasta with maitake mushrooms — 5 years ago

Columbia County 1.0: cool blue tone & bit upright ( or uptight?). Medium plus acid, fairly smooth & linear & builds power. I’m intrigued but imagine there’s more to be unspooled here, whether it’s by more time in bottle or decanting.
