Pale. Lychee and petrol nose. Lots of apricot on the palate. High-minus acidity. Love it. Best when freshly open and chilled. Neither air nor warming to room temp does it favors. — a month ago
Worth $13. Wonderful pinot, very enjoyable, not overly dry, not overly jammy or sweet. Jen got this bottle from CCSM womens event. — 7 months ago
This bottle was significantly better than the previous bottle I had… Fabulous mouthfeel, and fruit — a month ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of 90 minutes. The 2017 San Valentino pours a slightly hazy, ruby color with medium+ viscosity and light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart, red fruit: sour Montmorency cherry, wood varnish, horse blanket, black licorice, old wood, and stony earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and zippy. One of the more wild vintages of San Valentino I’ve ever had and this bottle wasn’t quite as good as the one I had a couple years back. Drink now and enjoy what nature gave to Paolo and Giampiero. — a day ago
Like this, pretty good for a Zin — 7 months ago
In the heart of the Chianti lies Estate of Sette Ponti, 15 miles northwest of the city of Arezzo, past village of San Giustino Valdarno. Has 10% Merlot, aged in French Allier barriques, deep Ruby with red fruit aromas and floral notes. On the palate blackberry, plum and cherry flavors with blossom notes, spice and fine integrated tannins. Good balance, long finish ending with some oak and mineral tones. Nice! Will age a bit! Tasting well now! — 13 days ago
