Light and chill-able red with some zip! Natty on the nose with a crunchy, spicy, juicy palate. First had it at La Cave Du Cours in Nice. $40 at Grape Witches. — 2 years ago
Delicious. So smooth. — 4 years ago
Absolutely wonderful wine. Nice one to snag from a recent Manhattan Wine sale. Decanted 3+ hours, surprisingly accessible at this stage. Somewhat reticent on the nose, even after the decant. But so nice on the palate - perfect body, lots of red fruit, crunchy tart cherry, excellent acidity that hits very nicely in the mid to late palate that brings good zip. Tannins are there and ever so slightly chunky but doesn’t get in the way at all. Perfect with some simple roast chicken with mushrooms cooked in the chicken fat and jus. — 4 years ago
2018 vintage. Léoville-Poyferré-involved concern. 73% Malbec 18% Cabernet Sauvignon 5% Petit Verdot 3% Syrah 1% Cab Franc. 100% delicious. Medium/medium-heavy body. Nice balance of grip/zip and sleeko suave. Can hold its own in a street fight now or be the scheduled, 12-round, main event in 2040-your choice. $28.85 resto cost on 3 cases. 14.5% ABV. Definite big red blend value contender. 04.13.25. — 6 months ago
Pop and pour through an aerator.
NOSE: cherry cordial, plum…fruit leathers from when I was a kid. Vanilla bean and chocolate. A little clove. Sandalwood. A dash of something tropical…like mango. Interesting.
TASTE: fresh cherry, nice zip of acidity, baking spices, fragrant wood, a little milk chocolate. Finished w/a little cooked meat. Medium weight, a little thin. Probably not worth the price to me - there are other Riojas in the same price range or cheaper that I much prefer - but good. 89.

One of my favorite Finger Lakes Rieslings! Modest gold color. Subtle petrol on the nose. Medium plus depth and nice balance between sweetness and tartness. Could use some more zip but my guess is that it is just past prime drinking age. Awesome QPR. — 4 years ago

Enjoyed the 2020 a bit more. Solid wine but sweeter (just a touch so) than expected. Needs a bit more zip. The 2020 being a bit better makes me wonder if I should have kept the 2022 a little longer before opening — 2 months ago
