Sandlands

Contra Costa County Red Table Wine 2018

Fairly muted initially, needed an hour + of air to open. White flowers, citrus, pomegranate, red cherry, lively and bright ✨ — 4 years ago

Colombera & Garella

Cascina Cottionano Bramaterra Nebbiolo Blend 2016

Beautiful Nebbiolo-based blend. Dark cherry, strawberry, and earthy notes. Precise and structured with good acidity, almost like a red Burgundy. Can't get enough of this wine! Purchased at Popina in Brooklyn, NY. — 4 years ago

Weingut Brand

The Electric Pfalz Acid Test Chardonnay 2019

Bumping up the rating a bit cause ... electric Chardonnay acid test is such a damn good name and anyone who doesn’t love this wine for that alone is lacking in the most rudimentary sense of wonder and childhood delight! A fun easy going wine, 90% Chardonnay 10% Riesling, but the later comes across strong. Bright green apple, pear, slate, petrol, must drink while listening to rock and roll while dropping ... actually, scratch that last thought ;) — 4 years ago

Chateau Montelena

The Montelena Estate Calistoga Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Oops, meant to cellar this one for a few more years but opened it by accident to celebrate Biden's inauguration. Wow! Cassis and dried cherries on the nose. Dark fruit and spice notes with a smooth mouth feel. I'll have to grab another bottle to replace it and be more patient with it. I think it will be worth the wait. — 4 years ago

Yeah, you'll have to save it until the next fraudulent election 😃 it might be a while though. You will have plenty of time to let the vintage age and mature. 😉

Darius II Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

One of my favorite Napa Cab filled with vibrant flavors, dark fruits and hints of coffee with refined tannins. A must if you can find it. — 4 years ago

One of my favorites!

Peter Lauer

Barrel X Saar Feinherb Riesling 2019

Love from first sip. Taste green fruits with a hint of orange. It’s like if a pear and a peach had a baby...kind of like the pear ring candies from childhood if those didn’t have sugar. Very acidic and almost effervescent. — 4 years ago
