Merlot (50%), Cabernet Sauvignon (41%), Cabernet Franc (7%) and Petite Verdot (2%). Intense (almost black) purple color. Bold aromas of earth, forest floor, iodine and black cherry. Black cherry/cassis on the pallet with hints of tobacco, earth and graphite. Extremely full bodied and well structured. Chewy tannins and a smokey finish. 14.5% alcohol. The wine is well balanced because everything is large about this one. — 3 years ago
A Syrah this Saturday night with NY strip. Color - dark rich garnet. Nose - scents of stewed meat and dark cherry aromas jump from the glass followed by herbal tea mint and smoked bacon notes with hints of chocolate licorice and white pepper. Taste - structured nicely with a creamy feel. Layers of the wine are flavors of dark cherry with a tang and notes of dark chocolate, currants, smoked cedar and tar with a nice long finish. Yummy! Pairs awesome with 5 year aged white cheddar cheese. A must try!! — 3 years ago

Happy 60th birthday, William Martin! Lovely. Didn’t just hold up, it thrived and is still full of life. Delicious. — 3 years ago
