Tonight's wine we have opened is the 2019 Joseph Phelps Freestone Vineyards Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir.
On the nose there is very nice notes of cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, clove, cola, vanilla, dried flowers, smokey oak and dusty earth.
On the palate we can find cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, baking spice, vanilla, black tea, minerality and earth.
This wine is a medium bodied with a velvety mouthfeel medium + acidity and medium fine tannins that move easily into a long red fruit vanilla earthy finish. A very nice well structured pinot that should last for many years to come. I hope everyone's weekend has started off right and are in a good place. Stay safe and healthy and continued positive waves. A definite treat! A bronze garnet in color with some bricking, but young looking. Nose - cherry and currant fruits with notes of truffle, green veggies and cigar. Taste - ripened cherry and plum, tobacco and earth spices followed by notes of smoky cedar and cinnamon adding to its silky smooth long finish. — 2 years ago

Refined. It has a lot going on but all well integrated, somehow showing age already but in a very pleasant way. Fresh, yet lightly oxidized with intent, a menagerie of fruits and soft spices. Very delicious, special occasion given the price point, want to try more Bordeaux of this status — 2 years ago
