Folly La Finca de Apalta Syrah 2019

So rich and decadent! Baked cherry and creamy cocoa notes.
Drank this on my birthday with a steak dinner. What a lovely pairing! I have a new favorite wine.

Gran Moraine

Yamhill-Carlton Chardonnay 2019

Almost crystal clear with just a little straw. Acacia, limestone, pineapple rind, nectarine, white peach. Heady but with a light touch. Will age very well but is great now. — a year ago

Big cab! Lots of ripe fresh fruit here. Tannins softened a bit and we’ll integrated. Drinking well now. — a year ago

Hermitage Syrah 1985

Stunning wine, in great condition, opened up to reveal a perfumed nose, lots of herbs and spices, silky on the palate, plenty of acidity, gorgeous finish, great to the last drop. — a year ago

Château Trotanoy

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 1998

Dark rubi robe, kaleidoscopic nose of blackcurrant, spices, top soil and cedar. Very powerful in the mouth with some VA but not enough to bother. Tastes like a Margaux, better on the nose than on the mouth, but this is a crazy good bottle if you like powerful classical Bordeaux. Its a threat now but might be even better in 5 to 7 years. Top notch and we loved it ! — a year ago
