Beautiful #floral notes. Pronounced aroma of black berries, spices and #rosepetals notes. A wine of elegance and strength. Made in Valpolicella, using around 30% of #passito grapes, hence the name Arele, which apparently in Italy means the wooden rack for drying the grapes. The wine is made of mostly local grape varieties, including Corvina, Rondinella, Oseleta, and a splash of Merlot. It tastes round, full body but elegant with bright acidity to support the wine, and long finish. Well made. — 10 years ago

How sweet a #perfume! Something #floral like jasmine maybe, and a bit of #Sauerkraut and pineapple on the nose. Lots of stone, too. Mild acidity and mild sweetness on the attack. Mid-palate, some bitterness, minerality. The finish is sweeter and more acidic than the palate. More bitterness, jasmin and exotic fruit in the finish. Really interesting, pretty pleasant. The residual sugar (being a #medium-dry wine) doesn't mean it tastes sweet. — 11 years ago
