Rich and warm dark chocolate and raisin nose foreshadows coming depth. Browning grasses, hazelnuts and baked pecans, cinnamon-blueberry tort, black cherry and black currant, wet rose petals, violet-cocoa, and jasmine branch. Tight and young entry still satisfies with spruce buds, pronounced tea leaf, sharp oak tones, cinnamon, red cherry, underripe red currant, pointy graphite; myrrh. Don’t drink ‘em if you got ‘em.

Black cherries, blueberries, vanilla, oak, dried sage, dark chocolate, full-bodied Merlot-based, right bank Bordeaux. Smooth tannins and great versatility. Vintage 2016. So delish! Oui, s'il vous plaît!

This wind pours a dark plum purple. We decanted it for about half an hour first. It has flavors of dried berries, cinnamon, and other spices. It’s tannins were somewhat mild. But overall very good and went great with the grass-fed New York steaks repaired it with. #lalande #pomerol #bordeauxrouge #rightbankbordeaux — a year ago
Loveliest of mushroom-violet, saddle leather and fresh wool, dark legume, black olive, cool licorice notes and lavender. A graphite tip made of concentrated grape; a fig parchment carefully folded over smoke. Outstanding nose.
Tobacco flaking blackly over licks of flame, chicory, black licorice, cloves and black olives dance and darken to blackberry, charred elm and black pastry. Biomass folding in crystalline-spiked, smoky, charred cedar. Burnt cinnamon and peek-a-boo plum. Loamy and dense earth that encapsulates. Great wine to grow on!

Deep ruby hue, subtle garnet, fuchsia rim variation. Black fruit on the nose, such as plum, black cassis, and baking spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and molasses, anise, and leather. #rightbankbordeaux #chateaugrandcorbin #merlotblend — 5 years ago
Textbook #rightbankbordeaux - a riper youthful style, black/blue fruit on nose, some cigar box, earthy notes. Quite approachable palate, of course nicely balanced acidity, firm tannins. This would be fantastic in a decade but lovely wine to drink on our 15th wedding anniversary this night. Great bottle price second wine from an eminent #stemiliongrandcru estate offered at one of our favorite Houston restaurants. — 2 years ago
Kirsch-y chocolate, wet violets, espresso, star anise, Saigon cinnamon, seared steak on butter, broken stick cinnamon, biomass is rain, and baked cinnamon apple smells. Subdued in comparison to its nose, the earthy and herbaceous entry features smoky soils, marinated mushroom, dusty oak, dried bing cherry, cranberry sharpness, black olive, date, and dried black currant. Lightest burnt rosemary almost refutes mention.

Celebrating a vacation break with #stemiliongrandcru . Purchased directly from the charming owner/proprietor Guy-Petrus Lignac who took us on a tour of his historic Château and cave in summer of 2018. Now after a full decade of laying down it was a good time to open it. After a solid 2 hours to open up, it presents a luxuriant aroma of cassis liqueur, stewed plums, a touch of tobacco and leather. Classic earthy #rightbankbordeaux character on the palate, soft rich dark fruit backed by firm tannins that build in your mouth. Easily 20+ years of cellar time could await this wine but it paired wonderfully with burgers. — 4 years ago

This wine is a testament to the “buy the vintage” concept. Back when I couldn’t really afford cellear-able wines, I heard that 2010 was a great vintage for a Bordeaux and bought this at Trader Joe’s. I kept it cellared until now. The wind poured a deep, reddish purple in the glass. I aerated it and let it sit for nearly an hour after that. Although its nose was moderate, the flavors were fantastic. Strawberry, cranberry, other dried fruit. The tannins were intense. With a fairly decent finish. This is all I could hope for from a bottle of Bordeaux. I will probably be revisiting this winery, since it’s so easy through Trader Joe’s. The wine was a perfect accompaniment to the grass fed ribeye steaks we paired it with. Talk about a great deal for just probably $12-$13 at Trader Joe’s. #bordeauxrouge #saintemilion #redwine #traderjoes #rightbank #rightbankbordeaux — a year ago
