Pic #3. 2013 Domaine Huet, Le Mont, Vouvray Sec. Golden hue with notes of melon, honeydew, cantaloupe, pear, white flowers, and grapefruit on the palate. Well-balanced and complemented the Lake Superior whitefish served in a mussel jus, with guanciale, and Brussels sprouts. Also in this pic is a tortellini enveloping a bite of good thunder cheese, tossed with zucchini agrodolce, baby corn, Swiss chard, and black trumpet mushrooms (which was paired with the Barbera on next pic, 4) #vouvray #cheninblanc #winesofloire #loirevalley #touraine — 5 years ago
Vintage 2014 - Vivid taste with hay, pear, mineral touch and nice acidity. #vouvray #cheninblanc — 7 years ago

This wine does not have much of a nose. The palate tastes of ripe orange flesh with a little acidity and orange pith in the finish. It pairs nicely with sriracha roast chicken. — 4 years ago
Textbook Vouvray for everyday drinking. Dryish, with a big acid backbone, yet melony, fruity and slammable. Always a good value. #vouvray #cheninblanc — 6 years ago
Vintage 1990 - yellow golden colour, very vital. Beautiful smell with quince dominant, also impressions of honey, ananas, Turkish Fruit, hay, quite complex. This #cheninblanc is mouthfilling with (now at the age of 28 years) dominant bitters with a toffee-alike aftertaste. #Vouvray that delivers! Actually, I was surprised/shocked to find this bottle in the cellar corner. I do not keep my demi-sec thát long. Beautiful starter of saturdaynight diner with wild boar paté. #loirewine — 7 years ago
Delicious #vouvray - green apple, touch of wet stone on the nose. Puckering acidity pleasantly balanced by pear and apple orchard fruit. Next time I definitely need to try this with a Chèvre-based appetizer. Terrific QPR for $~12 at a local Mediterranean gourmet shop. — 4 years ago
Sec...and a good one. Ripe melon, wildflowers, pixy stix. Fine structure and length; well-done for such a tough year. #vouvray #cheninblanc — 6 years ago

#vouvray verve - a little bit more RS on this #cheninblanc, crunchy green apple on nose and palate, still mouthwatering acidity and a bracing finish. I tend to favor a bone dry Vouvray but enjoyable nonetheless. — a year ago
