Cidery, citrus, sharp acid, with a creamy mouthfeel. Fun drinking, and also food friendly. Super interesting and would try again. — 2 years ago

Very sweet and yummy! Don't really have the vocabulary to describe it further... — 11 years ago
Not sure about the Elkton part, the back label states “2022 Oregon white table wine”, Lot #001, Ovum Wines, Dundee Oregon. A tasty Riesling-forward blend, good acid, off dry. Still good value and a reliable go to pour. I’d still prefer it drier, but this way there’s more to share — 3 years ago

NV Series No. 001. This was one of the collaboration wines made with their sister winery Old Westminster. Cabernet Sauvignon soaked for three days on Burnt Hill Regent pomace then blended with 15% Estate Merlot and aged in a large ash foudre. Dark fruit and spice and paired exceptionally well with a delicious dark chocolate crémeux! — 9 months ago

The great MONOPOLE of the estate. Stunning, “why you pay big bucks for Burgundy” type of perfume. Deep and penetrating aromas of black raspberry, violet pastille, stunning deep and clean minerals, hints of game and smoked meats. Floral. Just so so complex. So lifted and layered. Truly truly just a ridiculous nose. Super elite. Palate is immaculate. The finesse is top .001% and the density is crazy allied with that finesse and super impressive pure, deep and vivid fruit. So sappy and stoney. Young obviously as this is the top red at Bouley, but what noble fruit and how it saturates the palate and stays there. So so complex but this wine has so much more to say. I’ll be back. Score will likely go higher. — 6 years ago
002 in the series, very similar to 001, tropical and citrus notes, hopped with New Zealand hops, very little malt backbone, just enough to support the hops, very easy drinking, enjoyable IPA, little on thin side because of the low ABV, only real grip, is again to similar to the one before this 001 — 10 years ago
MC3, 001-14. Moet & Chandon's new prestige cuvée that launched on 25th June. MC stands for Moet & Chandon; '3' for the reasons listed below. '001' for the first release. '14' for the year of disgorgement (2014). Zalto have made a special glass for it. Produced from 3 varieties from 3 different styles - wines fermented and matured in barrel, wines in stainless steel and already finished champagnes. Also made from 3 different decades. So lots of component parts. Medium golden hue. Some reductive character - but alluring. Lots going on in the nose. Lees, white pepper, apples and quince, toast and honey, nuts - hazelnuts. Some coffee reductive notes in the background. On the palate, medium plus bodied, power and concentration. Round on the mid palate, good finish. Complexity is abundant. Is it harmonious? Not sure. Less is more sometimes. But could be just my own taste profile. NB: they don't intend on having a label. They will etch numbers on the bottles themselves. They will package in something very unique and stand-out. Aimed at the lifestyle audience and priced above Dom Perignon. Richard Geoffroy involved on the project from beginning, with Benoit Gouez choosing the final blends. — 11 years ago

Jürgen von der Mark’s first sparkler and astonishing. Extra Brut Blanc de Noir, 2 g/l dosage, no severity. Nose of brioche, phyllo dough, pastry shell, minerals, then lime zest, sea air and unseasoned raspberry. The mousse is the star: absurdly fine, $75 Champagne level. Juicy, sapid, pure, with acid, fruit and bubbles placed perfectly. Long, fanning finish that keeps getting more complete. So fucking well-made. 9.5, almost 9.6. — a day ago
