After sending back an oxidized, tired 2020 Rossi di Montalcino, the Somm had the waiter bring back this wine at around the same price point. Don’t sleep on #barberadalba from a great producer. Raspberry, plum, dusty dark fruit nose. So vibrant on the palate with lush yet tangy dark red fruit on the entry, gossamer tannins on the finish. Corking it after dinner and after the next day in the wine fridge still as alive. — 2 months ago
Red cherries, raspberries, dried herbs, wet stone, and hints of ginger and cardamom. Lovely and definitely gives me a new appreciation for Barbera. — 3 months ago

A $40 Barbera….. but it drinks like a $40 Barbera. Really tasty. Would be a great midweek go to wine when cooking Italian at home. — 3 months ago

Another solid vintage of this consistently well made wine. Dark ruby/purple color. Intense aromas of blue and black fruit, red and purple flowers and wet stones. Blackberry, boysenberry and plum fruit on the palate with additional flavors of coffee and minerals. Long and earthy finish. Deep and dark concentration. Medium bodied and very silky tannin structure. Mouth watering acidity. Food friendly. Very good representation of the varietal. Thanks for sharing, Keith S! — 2 days ago
