Les Vaillons Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay 2020

Delicious wine, very pretty. On the light and crushable side for a premier cru Chablis. Apple skin. Nectarine. Lemon. Just a scosche of minerality. Yes I said scosche. #suckit — 5 days ago

Fossiles Pinot Blanc 2004

Honeyed and floral. Vanilla, saffron, mango and papaya on the palate. Still fairly fresh and mineral. Such a beautiful wine… — 3 months ago

Clos des Perrières Meursault 1er Cru Chardonnay 2016

Guess there’s some bottle variation. Much closer to bottles I’ve had in the past than the one the other night. — 3 months ago

Domaìne du Pavìllon Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru Chardonnay 2019

Delectable Wine
9.4

The 2019 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has a powerful lemon verbena, orange pith and French patisserie nose, with plenty of energy and commendable delineation. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. It’s slightly creamy in texture, with white peach and a touch of sesame oil, building commendably toward an intense finish. This is true Grand Cru quality. Excellent. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting. (Neal Martin, Vinous, December 2023)
