2020 vintage. First vintage for the Perrodo family, who bought this estate from French Bank Crédit Agricole in late 2019. True to type elegant Margaux with the hallmark freshness of this great vintage. A solid effort, but definitely not in the same league as the excellent La Lagune 2020 tasted alongside. This was interesting - if served blind I would have thought it to be a French blend of Sauvignon Blanc with vermentino or rousanne - very aromatic, medium acids and a decent finish. I believe this was a local Salento wine so nice to see that they can retain aromas and acidity in such a dry mediterranean climate. — 2 years ago
