This Pa brewery is rocking my world. Close my eyes and taste this, and I drift back to my time when I lived in Waterloo, Brussels. Label says 9.5% abv, but it’s tucked in nicely. Woody notes on the palate, with cardamom, cloves and licorice. Heart-warming as it slips down the hatch. Well done! — 5 years ago
Beautiful nose of lemons, white grapefruit, white floral elements, and some black pepper and clove.
Lots of delicious fruits open the palate: apricot, peach, orange peel with a soft hay like maltiness. Nice moderate, citrus fruit acidity carries the mid palate with some lingering mild bitterness reminiscent of citrus pith and clove. Soft carbonation gives a nice fluffy mouthfeel.
Beautiful saison with excellent fruit/spice balance. The delicious flavors, dryness, and mild bitterness make this dangerously drinkable at 6.1%. — 6 years ago
Belgian Blonde 6.6 ABV. Abbey style. It was the sweetness and drinkability that was enjoyed most. Different flavor/experience in glass 2nd time, preferred bottle. Spices? — 7 months ago
2018 vintage. Owned by Belgian Justin Onclin, consulted by Hubert de Boüard. A spectacular effort. A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Classy nose with ripe red fruit, flowers and subtle cedar wood. Concentrated and very elegant, impressive depth, beautifully balanced with perfectly integrated alcohol (abv. 15 %) and a knock-out finish. Definitely up to Premier Grand Cru level. Highly recommended. — 4 years ago
Nice Amber from Michigan. Mid bodied, well balanced. Clean smoky and mildly yeasty finish. — 5 years ago
2015 vintage. Kosher version. Owned by Belgian Maurice Velghe. 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Slightly rustic but well-done with Saint-Estèphe typicity. — 3 years ago

2022 vintage. A relatively new estate ( first vintage 1972, and bought in 1993 by Belgian MD Gaëtan Lagneaux, who sadly passed away at the age of 50 in 2012). His son Adrien has directed the estate ever since, and I believe his father would have been proud of him tasting this 2022. I don't know the exact blend for this vintage, but the vineyard is planted with 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 48% Merlot, and 2% Petit Verdot. A little less colour compared to Coutelin-Merville tasted alongside , but more refined in both nose and taste. Abv. 13,5 %.
