With Podere Pradarolo, it’s all extreme. Extremely long macerations for all the whites and Rose’s. Ex Alba sees 45 days on its Trebbiano skins then heads to the barrels. This is less than a fourth the time Vej sees on skins by the way.

Red gold body with a Matisse sketched white ring and merengue peaked, sheet-lacing. Clean citrus nose exhibiting clementine and dried pineapple, Meyer lemon and a faint funky-persimmon and lotus. There is something pleasant about the naturalness of the aromatics here with dried lemon verbena and Calloway seed. Orange and tangerine eclipse the lemon on the palate and add sweet grapefruit, and a clove note that tightly binds the whole. The bitterness being mitigated by the maple was brilliant here! Makes the Dogfish 90 seem clunky in comparison. I am a fan of this manifestation. Careful crafting and a simple solution to tune aggressive hops. There is no maple flavor btw. .

Snow White frosting over vodka-cran colored beer with cirrus drifts. Cartoon stubble lacing. Raspberry, blackberry, grape-y with blood orange, dried orange, red grapefruit, hibiscus and citrus crowd. Lovely entry, reminiscent of bandol rose, with a suggestion of pink lemonade, bay, orange pith, lemongrass, and cardamom. Dry and satisfying in all respects. Carrots and cran-mint come to mind. Black bear body with blonde grizzlies piled high, atop. Licorice, espresso bean, toffee, dark chocolate, burnt honey, dried violets, dried black cherries and rich malt aromas. Sarsaparilla taste, with dark, sweet coffee, dark chocolate, baked raisin, dried black cherry, dried black currant and licorice. Stupendously supple integration of all elements! The bitter bits are a perfect counterbalance. .
