Pallet is full of ripe red fruit (cherry, cranberry , raspberry & plum) with notes of mushrooms, baking spices and minerals. A bit of smoke on the finish. Silky tannins. So interesting. Took a while to soften but once it opened up it was super flavorful. Funky and unique. Cherries and raspberries on the nose. More tannic than expected. Strawberries, pomegranate, rose and all spice on the palate. — 2 months ago

If you are ever unconvinced that Slovakia doesn’t make good wine you need to try is wine from Stekov. Fred 8 Is light bodied wine but finds that balance between complex and easy drinking. I saw another reviewer said Brett on the nose and totally agree it’s a little bit barley wine co- fermented but still super ripe. Would be so good with cold charcuterie or grilled chicken.  — 4 years ago
