Deep, dark and contemplative. Fresh and lively nose, but the fruit is quite restrained and serious. Black cherry, prune, vanilla bean and black pepper with dusty, astringent tannins. Long dry finish of hay, dried herbs and some of that bitterness. Drinking it on the cooler side. Feels right to sip this while listening to Sketches of Spain. — 24 days ago

Great, but the 2018 better - a little more horsepower. — 15 days ago
This tasty 5 year old Tempranillo from Vega Sicilia & Rothschild, is still young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly.
Showing red and black fruits with earth, wood, spices, peppercorn, chocolates, tobacco, graphite and dark coffee.
Complex and interesting. Rich and fruit forward. A modern take on Rioja.
Better than their Classico version, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
