very peaty, unexpected for something out of Scotland but with a sweet light maltiness. Lightly roasted flavors, quite drinkable — 4 years ago
Charming cider, yeasty, tart, lots of fun. Bought at Saint Roche, drank on the 10th Street patio — 5 years ago

Like lemon lime Gatorade has a jolt of electricity running through it. — 5 years ago
A Chicago original. Very bitter and herbal. Reminds me of some of the more bitter and intense aquavit you can find in Sweden only. Quite a bracing shot. Though frankly, nice and cold on the rocks it can make a change if you can handle it. Like others have said it’s not easy to rate as it’s not easy to like as such. But it’s a thing. — 6 years ago
I’ve been interested in trying this producer and this Pinot was the first wine from the estate I’ve come across here in Sweden. This is full bodied Pinot in its truest form. Very tasty stuff packed with flavour. Ripe berries. baking spice, liquorice, coffee, cola, pastilles. This is hedonistic but the abv (15%, possibly higher?) is almost taxing a couple of glasses deep. — 2 years ago
This one in still available for around €70 in Sweden, so I was intrigued to try the WOTY. Full bodied with ripe dark fruits, plenty of baking spices, currants, cedar wood. I prefer this over The Mascot from Harlan, the quality of the fruit comes across a bit superior here. Very well made. — 4 years ago
Urban Wines of Sweden has somehow cojnured up this BdM and called it Armatura. If anyone knows more, please enlighten me. 36 mo on barrel and 12 in bottle, 14% alc. The wine is clear and dark red in color; nose is clearly Sangiovese but with more dried red fruit (almost ripasso-esque) including both strawberries and dark cherries, spices, chocolate, and mineral hints; taste is subdued and mild with fine tannins, but elegant fruity with nougat, lemon-pepper. Overall seems well made but with a structure better suited for early drinking than long-term storage. — 5 years ago
Not a beer geek myself, but even I know this was extraordinary. While the nose is quite mild, the flavours hits you like a bus. Heavily hopped with a bittersweet balance, and a round almost-oily mouthfeel (only held back by some carbonation). Orange rind, lychee, grass, malt, and caramel comes to mind. Lingers with a little warmth, which gives it a great sense of robustness. Delicious, but perhaps a little too intense for me.
NB: Intensity seems to be a common theme in these Omnipollo brews. These guys sure take things to the extreme. Big fan, but definitely not for the faint-hearted. — 6 years ago
Omnipollo Aon Pecan Mud Cake Imperial Stout.
Holy smokes! This was insane. Pours out thick and velvety. Like an elixir of concentrated chocolate and nuts. The name definitely hits the mark... That smell... That taste... Instantly reminds me of caramelised pecan... Chocolate brownies... Oozey... Fresh out of the oven... Pecan mud cake for sure... Ahhhh!!! And I haven't even swallowed... But when you do... Man, it's delicious. It's like having brownies with fresh cream and toasted marshmallows on the side... It's really that interplay of bittersweet that gets me. This is really good stout. I'm a fan.
NB: Funnily enough, I've developed a liking for rather rich beers despite my intolerance for the wine equivalent 🤔🤔🤔 — 6 years ago

Santa Barbera Chardonnay is really becoming a favourite of mine. The Pinot from SB seems to get all the attention here in Sweden but the Chardonnay is outperforming the Pinot by a mile. Very bright and well balanced. Seashell, pear, honey, hezelnuts, jasmin, tiger balm. — 3 years ago
Syrlig med en härlig eftersmak av ekfat — 4 years ago
We’ve been embarrassing slow at exploring the greatness of the noble Aglianico grape in Sweden.
Full bodied and powerful but remains fresh and vibrant with plenty of energy and a mineral nerve. Somewhat unleashed and needs time to breath to unfold. Black Cherries, Currants, red plums with a floral lavendel like lifted followed by baking spice, sweet tobacco and a warm stone mineralogy that brings tension and energy.
Fresh acidity and mouth coating tannins with a powdery texture that is well integrated in the good fruit concentration and full body with an expansive complexity and long finish. — 5 years ago
Sulphery and cheese rind funk fading into cherry Jolly Rancher. Memories of Malmo, Sweden. — 6 years ago
The Côte d'Or appelation includes both Beaune and Nuits. But this mostly remind me of Nuits with dark berry fruit and dark color. Young but quite drinkable with the right (light) food pairing. Quite a lot of fun compared to the usual Bourgogne selection here in Sweden. — 6 years ago
A real flipping extravagant piece of first world disposable income — 6 years ago
Very Nice surprise. This swedish whisky give love touch of peat and smoke flavour. — 7 years ago
Kanonvin från Götelaborg! Påminner om de första naturvinerna man köpte från köpenhamn. Saftigt pris men väl värt det. Systemet i östra gbg. — 7 years ago

Quite dry, but also rich, with a hint of oak. Lemon and pears, nice minerals. Different and very tasty! — 9 months ago
