Vivid clear, color and tight, concentrated fruit. Cherries and plums and juiciness. Very delicious, but also seem to fade very quickly and it’s flavor. Corked it for a day and a half and came back to something that was quite quickly on its way out and had become round and just grape juicy. Maybe that’s on me for leaving it. — 6 months ago
Nice, but a little less dry, peppery than we prefer — 5 years ago
This wine reminded me of just how great Italian wines are. I imagine a family in Sicily humbly making fantastic wine and selling it at a price the working man can afford every day. — 6 years ago

White peach, lemon zest and stone fruits on the nose. Medium sweet on entry, medium high acidity. Good finish. A lovely wine. — 6 months ago
Ruby colored. Fruity but spicy. Some undertones of wood. Just an excellent wine to with Alla Vita. — 8 months ago
Normally Friday is Pizza and Pinot but tonight we decided to do this Chianti Classico from Borgo Scopeto from the lovely Elisabetta Gnudi. — 4 years ago

Drank with Lynda and Ryan in the park! Orange wine, not too funky, stone fruit and smooth — 6 years ago
These are recalled impressions, not contemporaneous notes, from two nights ago, when the family council of elders met for a steak/wine pairing event at my brother Angelo’s house.
I love this style of Brunello. Great balance of deep cherry fruit and terra cotta earthiness. Tannins resolving. Went especially well with the steak that was grilled with garlic and rosemary. — 6 months ago
2nd time I've had this. Every wine gets a higher score at Christmas. This is a stern Barolo, uptight after 4 hours of air. Yummy, though, and pleasant to sip slowly next to the fireplace. Cherry cola, raspberries, roses, serious leathery tannins. It's a 6 year old Barolo, and that's what it tastes like.

Dried apricot , cherry , stone . Fruitier barbera — 4 years ago
The yellow-tinted wine smells floral and tropical, with white flowers, apricot and mango coming through on the nose. There is also a bit of citrus minerality, like a sidewalk after a rain. The palate shows the stone fruit and tropical aspect, with a hefty slice of acidity to go along with it. So fresh and racy is it that one can feel free to pair this Pinot Grigio with seafood rather than restrict it to salads. — 5 years ago
Big big dark fruit aroma. Strawberry? And raspberries sweetness — 6 years ago
