Blueberry and blackberry taste, leather aroma, very smooth — 2 months ago
Full bodied but not overwhelming. Lots of berry textures and the leather/nutty finish is very smooth. I could enjoy this over a broad array of meat and pasta dishes. — 3 months ago
Dark/muddy ruby color with an orange rim. Aromas of black, red and blue fruit with hints of earth and smoke. Blackberry, blueberry and dark plum on the palate with additional notes of coffee, dark chocolate, dusty earth and tobacco. Long and lingering mineral laden finish. Well integrated, balanced and elegant. Appropriately aged. Solid. Best of the Campo Viejo Rioja offerings. Thanks Chris B! — 22 days ago

This wine is dark purple/garnet in the glass. The nose offers up considerable black fruit, such as blackberries, plums, and blackcurrant. It also offers up considerable oak effect, even though the wine’s exposure to wood was minimal. The oak comes through heavily on the palate as well, obscuring some nice dark fruit flavors. The artwork on the label is nice, but the artwork inside the bottle can’t live up to it. — 3 months ago

Soft and fruity with balanced tannins. Maybe softer than preferred to pair with pizza, but quite good anyway on its own — 7 days ago
