Really solid. Lots of acid. Bright bright red fruits. Little bit of earth. — 3 years ago
Very delightful first experience with this varietal as a single preparation. I love that it’s simple yet blah-Frankish complex :) mixed berries and herbs worked well with our brat sausages & peppers. On sale at Whole Foods for approximately $15-16 — 6 years ago
Really trying to get an understanding of the Lagrein grape while in its home region of Italy. This is a nice one, but quite different in style than the Nusserhof we had the other night. Deep dark violet in the glass. After an hour of air, quite nice aromatically, with deep dark fruits coming through and the initial oak note blowing off. Full bodied, with a fair bit of young tannin - which made it a great pairing for simple meats from a rustic wood grille. Nice long finish with good acid. — 6 years ago

Lovely white wine. Ripe melon, easy drinking and smooth. Difficult vintage with which they did great things! Long finish, great balance and mouth filing.

Had the 2017 it and it was excellent. Very easy to drink. — 5 years ago
Definitely mountain wine. Light but bright color. Fresh nose of cracked stone, tart mountain berry juice, tart cherry, and almond. Intense, sappy, intensely minerally flavors. Light but mouthfilling. A little bitterish edge in the back half of the palate. I opened it in the dead of winter, but, damn, this would be a great summer cookout wine. Very distinctive. — a year ago

A little sweet Great flavor — 6 years ago
Hints of berries in this superlative Blauburgunder. Il Pinot nero dell’Alto Adige non ha rivali. Had it at Bottega Bono a Roma. Best in class — 7 years ago
