— 4 months ago
My first carricante. Floral citrus nose, pale yellow, complex minerality with a perfect sour/sweet finish. Thanks, Costco. This is a top-drawer white. — 7 months ago
Golden delicious apples, citrus, stones, soft tannins and medium plus acidity. Better than it’s been. — 9 months ago

100 % Carricante grapes from Mount Etna grown on sandy loam soils with volcanic rocks between 700 to 900 meters altitude.
All manual harvesting.
Aged 4-6 months in stainless steel.
Golden green colour with citrus, herbs, and a flinty stoney freshness on the nose.
Lemon citrus oils, sage, chamomile, white flowers and fennel.
Lively acidity and minerality on the finish that lasts for minutes.

Another blind serving. 5 year old Chablis? WRONG, again! Aromas of lime, oranges, sea salt and flower. In the mouth I felt as if I was blindsided in the ocean by a wave and knocked underwater and swallowed a mouthful of water.. The saltines was joined with palate cleansing acid, and notes of kiwi, citrus and dried flowers. Silky well balanced body. — 6 months ago

Wet stones, lemon curd, stone fruit, med body. Yummy. — 7 months ago

Blend of 90% Carricante and 10% Riesling, pale to medium lemon color with aromas of stone fruit, citrus and honey floral notes. On the palate flavors of ripe apple and pear with slight citrus and smoky mineral notes. Good acidity, balance and structure, medium+ finish ending with smoky mineral character. Very Nice! — 9 months ago

Final Etna Biaco of our Sicily trip. DOC Superiore lives up to its domain certification. Dry with minimality but richer flavors than others we tasted here. Maybe barrel aged. — 24 days ago
