really good. choose the winemaker over the label! — 7 years ago
Mineral and granite nose, all stones. Unreal terroir transparency. Edgy and nervy on the palate, yet also elegant, ripe and rich, with serious architecture. Pure, sappy and concentrated, with inner-mouth aromas, juicy depth, and tremendous length. Still very young, almost tannic, with a hint of opulence. So pure. — 8 days ago
A truly special site, the average age of the vines used for “Le Berceau” are 60+ but some are approaching a century old. Aging is a mixture of old and new barrique.
Opened prior to dinner; enjoyed over several hours. The 2013 pours a deep garnet/purple with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with classic notes of Syrah: mixed, wild brambles and then it’s like opening up a European deli case: black pepper and Herbes de Provence encrusted salami, olive tapenade, lavender, crushed rock and fine warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. Beguiling stuff. Drink now through 2038. — 3 months ago

Nice GSM southern France
Silky tannins with really longish finish
Nice change from Barossa GSMs - the Shiraz does not drown the blend — 7 years ago
Gorgeous clay-like nose. Juicy and dense, with insane tannin management, gorgeous granite, acidity, velvet texture, freshness and unreal energy. So, so sick. — 8 days ago
Needed 1 hour last night then it got reductive. But today oh man! Nose is glorious red fruits, granite, herbs and flowers. Clay, iron ore. Some blackberry as well. palate is raw and feral with blood, guts and meat. Concentrated and linear. Unreal texture and finish but needs a decade. — 8 months ago

Not quite as yeasty as a rose champagne but quite lovely to celebrate an anniversary — 6 years ago
Family owned and operated since 1850, passing down expertise from one generation to another. Today run by Marie-Eve Léger, who joined parents Agnes and Bernard in 2009 after completing her degree. 100% Chardonnay, pale lemon with aromas of ripe stone fruits with biscuit notes. Palate shows apple and peach flavors, vivid acidity, well balanced. Medium+ finish ending with yeasty character. Very Nice! — 7 years ago
