It’s extremely gamay season and this is peak! — 2 years ago
Garagiste selection. $13.76. Keeper at this price. 60% Merlot. Smooth tannins. — 3 years ago
First sip was incredibly smooth. Gave Chelsey the remaining wine from the bottle after decanting and she said it tasted like it'd be good on ice cream.
First sip from the decanter was smooth and luscious. Not my all time favorite wine but I'll certainly never turn it down. — 3 months ago
3/2024. Nice full bodied Bordeaux. Good flavor and finish. — 4 months ago
2020 Daniel Bouland Bellevue Cailloux Morgon - Gamay from Beaujolais. This is a medium to full bodied wine. Bouland wines are described as defiantly deep, dark, country-style reds with plenty of grip and overflowing with personality. These are wines that are built for the long hall, unlike so many of the region’s wines. I describe this wine as brilliant and delicious. This wine is drinking nicely even without bottle age.
Once again, Beaujolais because they can be deliciously beautiful. Casualness in a bottle with a touch of class. Also can’t beat the QPR on some of these, especially this one. — a year ago
See previous note 2 years ago in March 2022. Still very consistent impressions. Black and blue fruits, as mentioned before. Dried plum and earth with herbal notes (fennel). Priorat Garnacha and Garnacha blends are some of my favourite wine styles. Clos Mogador is biodynamic and Rene Barbier does not use chemicals in the vineyard. — 4 months ago
Nice full body. Not too heavy on the tannins. Soft finish. — 9 months ago

Agreeable high QPR #bordeaux - Purple, black fruit nose, touch of warming spice. Robust acidity leading on palate, chocolate notes, drinks less fruity than the nose, some chewy tannins that build on the finish. The tannins and acidity suggest this $15 wine would be great after another 3 - 4 years. #côtesdebourg — 2 months ago
