I love this! — 3 years ago
Big bold wine. Juicy! Requires food as a result. But love it! — 4 years ago
Poured into a decanted about an hour prior to service and presented double-blind. The 2019 “Lily’s Garden” pours a deep garnet with a bit of purple and a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with significant staining of the tears. On the nose the wine is developing with black bramble fruit, purple flowers, a touch of the animal and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The alcohol is elevated; calling it high. The finish is medium+. I called Syrah from France, from the Northern Rhône, Croze-Hermitage from a recent warmer vintage like 2019. Dangit…I got the variety right but I should have considered Australia with the elevated alcohol. This is a fairly classic Aussie Shiraz that certainly gives off a French vibe but the fruit and alcohol give it away. Drink now through 2034. — 6 months ago
Crunchy Croze « on the fruit ». Open nose, soft and fresh mouth with a nice volume typical of fairly natural wines. Beautiful, soft shades support the primary explosive notes of black, purple, iris, peppery and smoked fruits. Immediate pleasure, very greedy. Very nice wine to share as early as the aperitif.
— 4 years ago
Vibrant with great depth at this young age. I am off to buy some more to store. — 2 years ago
It’s herbs, it’s oxidized it’s marzipan, it has that bright citrus acidity, almonds on the finish. Not spectacular but finding a white Croze is rough here in Texas. — 2 years ago
Smokey, anise, eucalyptus, and blueberry cream. Acid over tannin with almost underripe blueberry. Elegant. Reminiscent of a well made Croze Hermitage with great length and purity of fruit. Well done. Drink now. — 4 years ago

The description: This wine showcases a deep garnet color with purplish highlights. The initial aromas are complex, and after a brief aeration, it reveals scents of stewed small black fruits and candied cherries. We notice a pleasant acidity on the palate balanced by well-presented and structured tannins. This wine delivers notes of black fruits and toasty flavors on the finish. Complex and well-balanced, the finish is long and lingering. The opinion: Beautiful! Enjoy. — 3 days ago
