Fresh Chardonnay from the village of Chaintré, southwest of Mâcon. Vines are about 30 years old and rooted in clay and silex soils. Fresh, mineral, citrus, hints of lemon custard. Good acidity, subtly saline. Refreshing, easy to drink — 3 years ago

Valette on overdrive, so rich and deep, 14.5% well hidden under layers of chardfruit. Surprisingly notable acid structure held the pieces together. The rustic style of valette is really one of a kind, this could last for several years, but are in such a sweet spot atm. A wine that made me happy 😇 — 3 years ago
Bought 2017 “Les Champs” natural in Cabourg Aug 2018 (in lieu of drinking on-site before returning to gite). Drank 7/26/19. Acid almost bitter at finish. Earthy. Mint, lime, preserved lemon, nut, cantaloupe, brioche. Round and plush. — 5 years ago
First taste seemed ‘thin’…. But opened up with more tastes. Maybe the martini I had affected the taste. As the dinner went on, I came to really appreciate the delicate taste. Lovely wine. Enjoyed at Chez Foushee :) — 3 years ago
Golden fruit, great minerality. Lemon curd (rich citrus). I really like it! Uncomplicated; elegant, mid-body, not super lean. — 3 years ago
