It can be difficult for me to identify the flavors in wine, but the pinot noir in this wine expressed beautiful fruit on the nose and palate, but slightly higher acidity which (to me) clashed ever so slightly with the taste. 2017 vintage. Last tasted 6.1.22 with same score. Perfume of fennel, Chambord, lavender, ripe dark plum and dusty bookshelf. Moonless, winter night color. Medium-heavy body. Gamey and mineralesque but otherwise, clean on the finish. A very light Reposado tequila pop up flavoring approx 45 seconds after savoring the finish.
