Château Lagrange

Les Fiefs de Lagrange St. Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 2019

This is very nice wine.
Listening to The Strokes and wondering where rock n roll went. It's completely vanished. I mean new rock bands- they don't exist. The charts are dominated with this disgusting pop/rap/country mashup. Somebody please name a solid rock band (that the masses know about) that has formed in the last 5 years.

Château Latour Camblanes

Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2021

Vintage 2021 | This wine confirms in everything that Entre Deux Mers is thé area to search for value. Dark colour, plums, red cherries and a hint of blackberries, strict tannins but also rounded after aeration. A 90% Merlot estate. Matched fine with our Sunday venison steak, baked potatoes and mushrooms with a salad. Very good stuff. — 7 months ago

Les Arums de Lagrange Sémillon Sauvignon Blanc Blend 2023

Pale lemon in color with a light golden hue.

Strong nose of citrus, limes, light oak, spices, earth and herbs.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity. Crisp and refreshing.

Dry on the palate with lemons, green apples, grapefruits, herbs, earth, spices and light wood.

Nice length on the finish with limes and almonds.

This is a very tasty white wine from Bordeaux. Elegant and spicy. Well balanced and complex. Soft and smooth.

Good right out of the bottle, and good by itself or with food. Will pair nicely with fresh seafood.

A blend of 73% Sauvignon Blanc, 12% Sauvignon Gris and 15% Sémillon. Aged for 7 months in (40% new) French Oak barrels.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$40.

Château La Grange

Saint Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 1990

1990 vintage. Bottom neck fill. Excellent cork. Decanted with appropriate sed. Slightly darker color than all the 1990 BDX I've tasted in the last year. Initial, slight funk on the nose that dissipated rapidly. Tasted immediately after decant, 1 hour and 2 hours later. Started softly but then brought out that big, Lagrange stick. Cedar, smoke, plum, leather, mercury, distilled dark cherry, summer pond mud. Displayed better balance throughout than expected with good staying power. Based on this excellent sample, will be shopping for more. Could hold in this spot for another half-decade before recalibrating. 12.5.25. — 6 months ago
