Classic left bank kosę - black current, cassis, cedar wood, a bit of pencils shavings, a gravelly undertone. Fresh, restrained, savoury, pure.
On the palate this has a very nice, smooth, velvety mouthfeel. Present tannins yet so nicely polished & juicy. Good purity of fruit - black currants, blackberries, a bit of plum. Ni e length & depth.
Exactly what I expect from a St Estephe - medium body, savoury tartness with just a touch of fruit and excellent food pairing.

A red blend from the right bank of Bordeaux, a value style (Lalande) out of pomerol. 84% Merlot and 16% Cabernet Franc offer medium structure, with some sourness of the red cherry and plums, some black coffee notes and dry leaves are part of showing its time already. Casual drinking will be the best to have it for. — 19 hours ago
2014 vintage. Last tasted 04.20.22 (9.5). Still tight but behind all the subterfuge, clouds, white lies, deception and smoke, there is a fantastic show slowly being assembled. All the performers are there and you've watched plenty of the rehearsals. Another 8-10 years will likely find this in the 9.6 and maybe 9.7 zone when the curtain finally rises. Built for future speed. If you've got the time and ca$hi$h, put a case aside and start tapping in 2035. This goes places wine doesn't have a right to. It's not asking for permission. 01.30.25. — 9 days ago
Brown sugar , vanilla on the nose, light acidity, balanced tannin. Good with dark meat , great value for the quality. Like it! — 2 months ago
Nice but not amazing. For $40 would probably skip. Decanted 5 hours. Air was necessary - can believe this would be better in a few years but meh. Tannins are quite balanced, surprisingly so. Overall the nose is a bit muted but air helped. Nice dark fruit. Could use a smidge more acid. Nice pairing with a delicious wagyu tomahawk. — 13 days ago

Very different from the Tempo D'Angelus. This giving a lot less ripe, more lean style. Also a good glass of wine given the price but preferred the Angelus style this weekend. — 6 days ago
